COLUMBIA (WACH)- A Richland County man is dead after Richland County deputies say a woman shot him in the upper body.
Richland County Deputy Curtis Wilson said, Roderick Day and woman were at a residence on Powell Road in Northeast Richland County. The unidentified woman shot Day, who Wilson said is her boyfriend. Day was taken to Palmetto Health Richland, where he died.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said once all the facts are in, the Sheriff’s Department will make a determination as to if it was accidental or if any charges need to be filed.
