LEXINGTON (WACH)-- The Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission and the Irmo Chapin Recreation Commission are teaming up to make senior citizens’ holiday season a little brighter and warmer.

Project Warmth is a program collecting scarves for seniors. The goal is to collect 926 scarves to give to elderly residents.

Only $3 will buy a new scarf for a senior.

You can donate through December 18 wherever you see holiday-themed piggy banks around Lexington County. You can also make donations online by clicking here.

Last year, Project Warmth collected more than 800 fleece blankets for senior citizens.
