CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- An 81-year-old woman has been found dead in a Charleston house fire.

Firefighters were called to the home around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. St. Andrews fire marshal Nathan Murtaugh says the home was filled with black smoke and flames when firefighters arrived.

The Charleston County coroner's office says the victim was Anne Bello, who lived alone in the house..

Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Jim Brady says the fire does not appear to be suspicious. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

An autopsy was planned Thursday to determine the cause of death.
