COLUMBIA (WACH) - Election workers found even more uncounted votes weeks after the commission certified the election.

Richland County Election Commission attorney Steve Hamm says an undisclosed amount of votes were found on an electronic machine.

This information coming weeks after board members and Hamm guaranteed all votes were counted.

The commission plans to investigate how these votes went uncounted and they will add them to the certified tally.

"These problems do not effect election results. I think that may be faint comfort to citizens and these are issues we've got to nail down," said Hamm.

Hamm plans to present the commission with a report on what went wrong on Election Day, and the board vows to correct these issues before another ballot is cast.
