CLARENDON COUNTY, SC (WACH) - A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a sports utility vehicle on I-95 North bound near Turbeville.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Timothy LaRoche of Charleston was walking along the northbound lane when a SUV from Florida struck him.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt, but LaRoche was killed at the scene.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
