ST. GEORGE, S.C. (AP) -- Dorchester County officials say an inmate has hanged himself in the jail in St. George.
Coroner Chris Nisbet says 34-year-old Scott Kuykendall of Goose Creek was found hanging around 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Nisbet says Kuykendall was taken to Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro, where he was pronounced dead.
Kuykendall had been in the jail since March 30 for a parole violation.
An autopsy is planned.
