COLUMBIA (WACH)--Students from Benedict College were in the season of giving on Sunday.

Several players from the women's basketball team prepared dinner Sunday evening for clients at the Transitions homeless shelter on Main street.

They prepared meals, drinks, and silverware for hundreds of people in need. It is the second time this year members from the team volunteered their time and give out food.

Sophomore Genesis Montilla said it is an experience they love being a part of.

"You never know when you are going to get put in that position. So we just want to help out. You do not really get a lot of people who help out. We just want to give back cause we might need them."
