RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WACH) - Richland County deputies are investigating an afternoon shooting near a local apartment complex Wednesay.

Deputy Curtis Wilson says deputies responded to a shots fired call on North Kings Way just after 1 p.m. Wednesday and found an individual with a gunshot wound to the lower body. The person was taken to a local hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.

Authorities are searching for one suspect, who is described as a male around 18 years old wearing a black hoodie.

The investigation is ongoing.
