COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Incumbent Democrat Jim Clyburn has easily won re-election to Congress in South Carolina's black-majority 6th District.

Clyburn, who had no major party opposition, easily outdistanced Green Party candidate Nammu Muhammad. With about 16 percent of the precincts reporting, Clyburn has about 95 percent of the vote.

Muhammad got less than one percent of the vote in a three-way race in the district two years ago.

Clyburn has served 20 years in Congress and was the first black congressman to represent South Carolina in Washington since the days of Reconstruction.

The district was redrawn as a result of the 2010 Census. It now runs from the Pee Dee southwest along the Interstate 95 corridor almost to the Georgia state line.
