COLUMBIA (WACH) - Columbia Police are looking for an armed robber who hit three stores in five days.
According to CPD, Antonio Dequan Sadler, 29, has outstanding warrants for Armed Robbery, Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Sadler is accused of robbing the Dollar General at 319 Beltline Boulevard shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2012.
He is further accused of stealing candy bars and showing a handgun to the clerk to demand money from the register.
No one was hurt during the armed robbery.
Shortly before the Dollar General crime, Sadler is accused of robbing the Hardee’s restaurant located at 3852 Rosewood Drive. Police say Sadler wore the same clothes as in the Dollar General incident.
Witnesses tell CPD that the armed man stood in line at the counter and ordered a cheeseburger and even attempted to pay for the food.
As soon as the cash register door opened, Sadler is accused of pointing a gun at the clerk, walking around the counter, and stealing money.
Also, the same man is believed to be connected to another Dollar General armed robbery.
This one occurred on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 2900 Leesburg Road shortly after 2:30 in the afternoon.
According to the victim, the armed robber walked up to the counter with the intention of buying candy.
As soon as the cash register door opened, Sadler is accused of pointing a gun at the clerk, reaching over the counter, and stealing money.
The suspect was last seen by witnesses wearing the same type of clothing as the two previous armed robberies.
Witnesses tell CPD that the robber got into a Champagne color, 4-door sedan and left the scene.
No one was physically harmed during any of the incidents.
