SUMTER, SC (WACH)- A former New Yorker needs help to send supplies to her hometown.

Kristy Cameron says the recent storms in the New York/New Jersey area hit her personally.  Cameron is originally from Brooklyn, but now lives in Sumter.  She made Sumter her home, and is looking for her fellow South Carolinians to help her fill a 26 foot rental truck with warm coats, blankets and non-perishable food for storm victims in the New York and New Jersey area.

Cameron says she'll personally drive the truck and it's donations to New York to drop off the donations herself.
The truck will be located at the corner of Broad Street and Wesmark Blvd in Sumter.  Donations will be accepted beginning at 9:00 A.M. Sunday.
