COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.

In addition to setting your clock one hour back before you go to bed on Saturday night, the Columbia Fire Department would like to remind citizens to take this time to check their smoke alarms and change the batteries in them.

The National Fire Protection Association says 50 percent of smoke alarms in homes are not in working coniditon.

Smoke alarms should be replaced after ten years.
