COLUMBIA (WACH)- A Columbia man is in jail for several drug related charges after Columbia Police say they caught making crystal meth in his parent's home.

Jerry Ward Galloway, 36, is charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, and Possession of Marijuana.

Members of CPD’s Drug Suppression Team were tipped off to possible drug activity at a home on Lincoln Street.
Officers received written consent to a home on Lincoln Street and found methamphetamine making materials, and marijuana in plain view.

Officers also uncovered a substance that field tested positive for ‘cooked’ meth inside a trash can in the backyard.

Methamphetamine in its powder form was found in a plastic bag on Galloway’s person.

Galloway was arrested on site and later transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

The United States Drug Enforcement Administration assisted CPD with this investigation.

A private contractor cleaned up the residence.
