Spartanburg County deputies say a 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after abusing the 8-year-old sister of a friend.

WOODRUFF, S.C. (AP) -- Spartanburg County deputies say a 14-year-old boy has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor after abusing the 8-year-old sister of a friend.
Investigators said Friday that the girl's mother called deputies after the girl told her the boy had committed sex acts with her at home and a nearby swimming pool.
Deputies say the teen admitted to some of the acts when questioned by investigators and told the officers he knew the girl was too young to be doing those things.
The boy was taken to a Department of Juvenile Justice jail. His name was not released because he is charged as a juvenile.
