MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) -- Donna Pratt wasn't sure what to think when officials at Patriots Point on the South Carolina coast approached her about dedicating a refurbished H-3 helicopter to the memory of her husband.

She says she worried it would reopen wounds from Vietnam. But now says she's glad because the chopper now serves as a legacy to her husband and what he did.

The name James Pratt is one of five on the side of the helicopter dedicated Friday during ceremonies on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown. Pratt was a member of the only Yorktown chopper crew lost during Vietnam.

The H-3 was a Navy workhorse during Vietnam and it also helped recover astronauts at sea during the early days of the space program.
