A woman's body has been found floating in a pond in Mount Pleasant.
MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities are trying to determine the cause of death for a woman whose body was found floating in a pond in Mount Pleasant.
Charleston County Deputy Coroner Scott Ramsey on Thursday identified the victim as 51-year-old Charlotte Small of Mount Pleasant.
Officers were called to the pond late Wednesday afternoon. They said the body appeared to have been in the pond for some time and there were no obvious signs of trauma.
