COLUMBIA (WACH) - The two people found shot to death in the Rosewood area Monday have been identified.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says Kathleen P. Kee, 54, and William R. Broll, 60, both died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities say the incident is under investigation, but appears to have been a murder-suicide with Broll first shooting Kee and then himself.

Investigators say around 1:30 Monday they were called to a home in the 1100 block of South Ott Road off Rosewood Drive. Deputies say a worker from an alarm company arrived at the house and found the front door open and the bodies of a man and woman inside.  The worker then called 911.

Richland County authorities say both people were each shot once in the upper body.  There were no signs of forced entry or signs of a struggle at the home.  A single handgun was also found inside.

Deputies say neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the area Sunday evening. It has not been determined how long the bodies had been at the home, but a sheriff's department spokesman says the man and the woman both lived at the house.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what led up the deaths.
