COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Freddie Grant the suspect who was arrested in the disappearance of Gabbiee Swainson is set to appear in federal court Tuesday morning.

52 year old Grant was indicted on a federal weapons charge last month.

Authorities say Grant could receive a maximum of 10 years in prison unless the court determines that he is an armed career criminal with three prior convictions for a violent felony or a serious drug offence.

In that case, he would face a mandatory 15 years in jail and a maximum of life in prison.

Grant is a suspect in Columbia's missing teen case, Gabbiee Swainson.

Authorities are still searching for the missing 15 year old teen.
