COLUMBIA (WACH)—Two blues legends, both hailing from South Carolina, will share a stage for the first time on Saturday night at the Fine Arts Center in the Richland Fashion Mall during the Sweet Palmetto Blues Festival.

Bishopville’s Drink Small has been playing music for over 60 years, having performed at the Apollo and touring with Same Cooke.  “Ironing Board” Sam Moore, a Rock Hill native, has the honor of being in the house band on the music revue television show “Night Train.”

Although the two have over 100 years of combined blues experience, and lived in the same world of music, they have never shared a stage.  After Saturday, that will no longer be the case.

“I am thrilled to have legendary bluesmen playing at our festival,” says show director Mona Patterson, of the two men.

Tickets for Sweet Palmetto Blues are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, available from PapaJazz in Columbia, SC or at brownpapertickets.com. For more information call 803-394-4421.
