COLUMBIA (WACH) - The Columbia Police Department is working to identify a man accused of exposing himself to young children in a residential area last month.
Chief Randy Scott says a man possibly being in his twenties with a "low hair cut" and facial hair is accused of exposing his private parts to five kids between the ages of 11 and 13 years old at a school bus stop on August 30 around 7:30 a.m. in the Colonial Heights Community.
Witnesses told investigators that after they saw what the man was doing they screamed and ran to get an adult.
According to police, the suspect, who is also accused of fondling himself, ran away. An adult notified police and stood at the bus stop with the children to make sure the suspect did not return.
Authorities believe the man may live in or frequent the area newar West Avenue.
