GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- An 18-year-old man from Greenville County has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for shooting his mother to death on Mother's Day last year

Joshua David McEachern pleaded guilty but mentally ill Wednesday to voluntary manslaughter, attempted murder and possessing a gun during a violent crime.

Prosecutors say McEachern shot Kathy McEachern during an argument in their home. The two had been arguing over the teen's using YouTube.

Police say Joshua McEachern also wounded his brother.

A clinical psychiatrist testified McEachern has autism and has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.
