Road Rage leads to gun charges

COLUMBIA (WACH) – Road rage may have led to criminal charges of pointing and presenting a firearm on Tuesday evening.

According to Richland County Sheriff’s deputy Curtis Wilson, deputies responded to the area of Bombing Range Road and Hardscrabble Rd for a report of gunfire around 8:00 pm on Tuesday.  According to the RCSD, a verbal altercation led to Williams firing a gun shot in the air.

Williams was taken into custody, and charged with pointing and presenting a firearm.
