MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- When a Myrtle Beach taxi driver picked up a fare and a couple started fighting, he did the logical thing -- he dropped them off at the police station.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports the driver picked up three people early Wednesday and then a man and a woman started fighting in the back of the cab.

A police report says the couple exchanged blows and the man pulled the woman's hair.

The taxi driver drove to the police station, horn blaring, and told officers he wanted the three out of his cab.

The couple from Virginia was charged with criminal domestic violence.
