COLUMBIA (WACH)—Great cooking doesn’t have to mean extensive recipes, hours of cooking, and years of culinary knowhow. Chef Gary Uwanawich dares to call men – considered the cooking challenged by some -- saying “it's time to man up and explore uncharted territories.”
The Chef has whipped up a simple dish that is perfect for the guy wanting to make a meal to impress or a single dad that wants an easy option not related to a drive-thru.
Chef Gary’s Chicken Pesto Alfrado
1-2 lbs boneless chicken breast ( cut into 1 inch pieces)
1 jar alfrado sauce (brand of your choice)
1 jar pesto
1 lb pasta ( of your choice)
In a large pot boil pasta follow instructions on package.
In a large skillet add a little olive oil and heat on medium. Add in chicken and statue for about 10-12 minutes. Add in alfrado sauce give a quick stir to combine let cook 2-4 minutes drain pasta add to skillet Toss pasta in skillet to combine in sauce add in 2 tablespoon of pesto toss to combine transfer to a large serving platter or bowl and enjoy.
