JENKINSVILLE, SC (WACH) - Bacteria was found in the Jenkinsville water system during a routine monthly test.

Authorities say the positive tests came from private residences the upper part of the system. They are conducting additional tests on the five wells in the system to make sure everything is safe.

There are 780 customers who use the system.

There are currently no reported illnesses.
