Fire crews have brush fire under control

COLUMBIA (WACH)-- Columbia-Richland fire crews worked  to put out a brush fire on Mallet Hill Road in the Wildewood Country Club community Wednesday night.

A department spokesman said the fire was about 100 yards long.

One lane of Mallet Hill Road was blocked off because of the blaze. Crews

At this point, firefighters aren’t sure what started the blaze. They haven’t ruled out fireworks.
