COLUMBIA (WACH) - Starting Monday, Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) riders will be able to purchase an All-Day pass.
The pass will allow riders access to fixed route service for $3.50 per day.
The authority says beginning Monday, riders can purchase an All-Day pass on-board CMRTA buses, at local Piggly Wiggly stores where regular bus passes are sold, the CMRTA Transit Center on the corner of Laurel and Sumter Streets, or the CMRTA facility at 3613 Lucius Road.
Charleston and Greenville both offer one-day passes to ridres for their public transit systems. It costs $5 to purchase a day pass in Greenville and $6 to purchase a day pass in Charleston.
“We are excited to offer our riders the new All-Day passes,” said CMRTA executive director, Bob Schneider. “We hope that the cost-effective passes will help ease bus fare expenses for our loyal riders and encourage new riders to get on board too."
Along with the All-Day pass, there are several other fare options offered by the CMRTA to meet the needs of each passenger.
