LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WACH) - Lexington County SHeriff's Department are hoping the community can help identify a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Wal-Mart Supercenter last Saturday.

Sheriff James R. Metts says witnesses described the suspect, who stole an  undisclosed amount of cash from Wal-Mart on South Lake Drive, as a man between the ages of 45 and 55. The suspect is around 6-feet tall and weighs between 190 and 210 pounds.

The incident report shows that the robbery occurred around 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, and the suspect used what appeared to be a silver revolver to hold up a cashier before taking money.

The man left the store, walked across the parking lot toward another store and got into an extended-cab, short bed pickup truck that was driven by another person, whom detectives have not yet identified, according to Metts.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video entering the store through the garden entrance and exiting the store through the retail entrance.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's department at 803-785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
