Gov. Nikki Haley has postponed a trip to the South Carolina coast to talk about getting ready for hurricanes.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Gov. Nikki Haley has postponed a trip to the South Carolina coast to talk about getting ready for hurricanes.
Haley had planned Monday to visit emergency officials and talk with reporters in Conway, North Charleston and Beaufort. The trip has been rescheduled for Friday.
The Atlantic hurricane season opened last Friday but it's already affected South Carolina.
Storm advisories affecting sections of the South Carolina coast were posted last month both for Tropical Storm Alberto and Tropical Storm Beryl.
