GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is starting a two-day tour of South Carolina to warn leaders that he thinks proposed cuts to military spending will be bad for national security.

Graham starts the tour Tuesday in Greenville, where he will tour the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics site with South Carolina Adjutant General Robert Livingston.

Graham will then head to Beaufort to meet with leaders at Parris Island and at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort before heading to Charleston on Tuesday afternoon to talk to local military officials at Joint Base Charleston.

The Republican lawmaker will end his tour Wednesday in Columbia, talking to officials at Fort Jackson and local business leaders.
