GREENWOOD, S.C. (WACH) - The Greenwood Police Department is searching for a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

On Monday, April 23, the suspect entered the Greenwood Municipal Federal Credit Union on Main Street in Greenwood, presented a gun, demanded money from the clerk and fled the scene after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, according to Captain Nick Futch.

Surveillance video captured images of the suspect who is described by the department as a male, approximately 5-foot-7 and 180 to 200 pounds.

At the time of the crime, he was wearing blue jean pants, white and black shoes, a white shirt, a dark jacket, and a black and red "Atlanta" hat. A red, white, and blue bandana was used to cover his face.
