LEXINGTON, SC (WACH)- Two Batesburg men face narcotics after Lexington County Deputies say they caught them making methamphetamine.
The Lexington County Sheriff's Department said on Thursday, deputies arrested William Fox, 34, of Batesburg David Wayne Kirkland, 51, of Batesburg man. The men face charges that the two men operated a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory at a home on Mabus Road in Batesburg.
Sheriff James R. Metts said narcotics officers charged them on one count of distributing methamphetamine and one count of
possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Officers arrested David Wayne Kirkland, 51, on two counts of distributing methamphetamine.
Fox and Kirkland each were being held on Friday, April 6 at the Lexington County
Detention Center while awaiting bond hearings.
On Thursday, narcotics officers executed a surveillance operation at a home on Mabus Road after receiving complaints from citizens concerning sales of methamphetamine at the home, Metts said. Officers witnessed numerous people coming to the residence and leaving within a short period of time.
