COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) -- A century after the historic Titanic sank, now some of the ship's artifacts are on display in South Carolina.

The South Carolina State Museum says it is opening "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" next month.

Museum officials say more than 125 artifacts, including china etched with the White Star line's logo, are part of the exhibition.

Personal items from the ship's passengers and recreations of rooms from the ship will also be a part of the exhibition.

"Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" runs through September 3.

More than 1,500 people died when the Titanic collided with an iceberg and sank in April 1912.
