A pedestrian died after she was hit by a car Saturday evening.
WEST COLUMBIA (WACH) -- A West Columbia woman is dead after she was hit by a car Saturday evening.
Investigators say 27-year-old Shanon Coleman was walking at the intersection of 12th Street and Jarvis Klapman Boulevard around 7:50 pm when she was hit by a car.
Officials later pronounced Coleman dead at a hospital.
Authorities say the driver of the car that hit her stopped after the accident.
At the point, the accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and West Columbia Police Department.
