COLUMBIA, SC (WACH) - Columbia police have identified a woman they say crashed into a school bus this week and then fled the scene.

Authorities say warrants have been issued for Whitley Monique Watson.  Police say the 20-year-old crashed into a Richland School District One school bus with children on board at the intersection of Ashley and Middleton Streets Wednesday afternoon. Watson is accused of running away from the accident after the crash, leaving the vehicle behind.

Authorities say one child on the school bus was taken to the hospital. However, his injuries were not reported as serious.

Police say Watson will face multiple charges including hit and run and driving under suspension.

Anyone with information about the crash or Watson's whereabouts are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.  All calls remain anonymous and you could earn a cash reward.
