Columbia,SC (WACH)- Four young adults who were killed in a January collision on George Rogers Blvd. near Shop Road were traveling at least 90 miles per hour.  The car they were riding in veered off into a building and caught fire.

The driver was Brian McGrath of Fairfield, Ct. The speed limit in the area is 40 miles per hour.

The report from investigators said rain may have also played a factor in the Jan. 18 crash that killed the 22-year-old driver,

Police say the car was going south on George Rogers Boulevard and lost control on a sharp curve, slamming into a building and catching fire. There were no skid marks on the pavement.

Authorities say reports on whether any the victims had taken any drugs or were drinking alcohol should be released later this week.
