One man dies in Cayce mobile home fire

CAYCE, SC (WACH) - A mobile home fire in Cayce left one man dead Wednesday night.

According to Coroner Harry O. Harman, 50-year-old Robert T. Seymour, Jr. died after a fire ignited in the den area of his mobile home on Duncan Court in Cayce around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Cayce Public Safety was able to extinguish the blaze quickly, but heavy smoke damage was found througout the home.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of Seymour's death.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner's OFfice and Cayce Public Safety.
