GREENVILLE COUNTY (WACH) - Tyler Keith Waite, 21, of Mauldin, was arrested on January 27, 2012, by the Mauldin Police Department on a child pornography charge, said Attorney General Alan Wilson.
Waite is charged with one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, 3rd Degree, a felony offense punishable to ten (10) years imprisonment.
Waite is charged with possessing digital photographs and/or videos depicting children engaged in sex acts. Three computers and associated equipment belonging to Waite were seized for forensic examination. At least sixteen files containing the pornographic images were found on that equipment.
Waite was assigned a bond of $10,000. The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
