(HOPKINS, SC) – The victim of the shooting in lower Richland County Tuesday afternoon has been identified. County Coroner Gary Watts identified him as 24-year-old Dashawn F. Jones of Hopkins.
The shooting happened on Prioleau Road in Hopkins around 2:15 p.m. Watts says Jones died as result being shot multiple times.
The condition of the other victim who was taken to a hospital is still unknown. Richland County investigators continue their search for the shooter. Anyone with information that could help authorities in this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-Crime SC.
