Gaston man ejected from vehicle, dies in single car accident

Lexington County, SC (WACH) - A Gaston man is dead after a single car collision that occured around 12:18 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 37-year-old man was travelling southbound on Glenn Road in Lexington when he ran off the left side of the roadway at a curve in the road.

Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman has identified the victim as Larry Conrad Davies, III.

The vehicle struck a tree, a culvert pipe, a power pole, and a fence before overturning, hitting a second tree and coming to rest.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
