COLUMBIA (WACH) - A man has been seen nude and performing sexual acts upon himself in two Columbia neighborhoods.
Columbia Police Chief Randy Scott advises residents of the Shandon and Heathwood communities to be on the look out for a white male suspect, possibly between the ages of 40 and 50 years old, possibly 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 150-180 pounds with a medium build. He may have a "low haircut" or is possibly balding.
According to officials, the suspect is accused of being naked and performing a lewd act upon himself between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.
There is a possibility that the man changes into a jogging outfit such as pants or shorts in order to blend in with others who may be exercising in the neighborhood. The man may also be driving a silver Honda.
Two women have reported seeing the man on several streets in the Shandon and Heathwood neighborhoods in mid-to-late December of 2011 and in early January 2012.
The suspect has been seen on the following streets: Elizabeth Street, Heathwood Circle, Cassina Road, Wheat Street, Princess Street, Wilmot Avenue, and Woodrow Street.
Victims describe the man as being near a patch of shrubbery or roadway at the time of the allegations.
No one was physically harmed during these incidents.
