ORANGEBURG, SC(WACH) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office announces the results of a joint investigation with Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the arrest of a Holly Hill man.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said,“Wednesday night officers from the (Orangeburg Sheriff’s Office) and Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Old State Road (in) Holly Hill. After entering the residence, we observed ingredients to produce methamphetamine and packaged methamphetamine, a marijuana plant growing in a container in a bedroom and packaged marijuana, and scales. Twenty-two weapons of various calibers, one has been identified as stolen out of Walterboro. On the property, two 40 foot metal cargo containers, three 20 foot metal cargo containers, and 12 trailer chassis were discovered. Ten of the chassis had altered vehicle identification numbers and 2 were reported stolen.”
Ravenell said “We are grateful for the cooperative efforts of Sheriff Wayne Dewitt and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office in their efforts to locate stolen property from their jurisdiction and aid us in our investigation as well.”
This investigation is continuing.
A cash or surety bond was set at $33,000 for all charges.
