COLUMBIA (WACH)--City officials have announced several events to celebrate the memory of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Here is a complete rundown of events:

Friday, January 13 

Noon

-Wreath laying at the Stone of Hope

-Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and Community Center

Saturday, January 14

8 a.m

-The 22nd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. 5k Run/Fitness walk

-Martin Luther King, Jr. Park and Community Center

Monday, January 16

3:06 p.m

-A brief memorial the hour that Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was founded

-Historic marker service

Keynote Speaker: Jack Easterby, Campus director University of South Carolina Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
