L;EXINGTON (WACH) -- Lexington police have arrested two women they say stole children’s Christmas gifts from a donation box.

Amber Harmon and Tonya Smith, both of Leesville, are charged with petit larceny.

Investigators say the women stole coloring books, crayons and gloves from a donation box in the Value Place Inn Saturday morning.

The donations were for Lexington Interfaith Community Services. 

Investigators say CRIMESTOPPERS tips helped lead them to the suspects.
