CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- A civil lawsuit has been filed against the Summerville private school that once employed a man now accused of molesting nine boys.

The suit filed Monday in Dorchester County against Pinewood Prep was brought by a former student who alleges he was subjected to sexually abusive behaviors by Skip ReVille seven years ago.

The suit alleges the school and its headmaster at the time were negligent in not reporting ReVille to authorities. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.

School spokeswoman Carolyn Baechtle said Pinewood was reviewing the lawsuit. A working number for former headmaster Glyn Cowlishaw could not be found.

ReVille, who has worked at schools and churches in the Charleston area, is being held on $1.4 million bond. His attorney has said he is sorry for his actions.
