GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested a man in the death of a woman who was shot at a Greenville County home.
Deputies say they were called to the home just before 1:30 a.m. Monday. They found a woman inside and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff's spokesman Zach Hinton says there were several other people in the home, and authorities are trying to determine who called 911.
Deputies said Jimmy Stephen Thurston was being held without bond Monday on charges of weapons possession and murder. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
The woman's name has not been released. Hinton said the shooting appeared to have been a domestic dispute, and there was not an immediate threat to the public.
