Gamecocks ahead of Tigers in football rankings

COLUMBIA (WACH)—The USC Gamecocks are up one spot in the USA Today/ Coaches’ Poll this week.

USC has climbed to number 13 in the Coaches’ Poll following their 41-20 win over The Citadel Saturday.

The Gamecocks did not move in the Associated Press Poll, and remains 14th.

USC is now ranked higher than Clemson in both polls, after the ACC Atlantic Champion Tigers lost to North Carolina State Saturday.

Clemson is ranked 18th in the AP Poll and 17th in the Coaches’ Poll.

The two South Carolina rivals will meet this upcoming Saturday night in Columbia. The 7:45 game is sold out at Williams-Brice Stadium, and will air on ESPN.
