Lattimore injured the knee on Oct. 15 against Mississippi State. South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said Tuesday that doctors wanted the swelling to go down in the knee and the injuries to stabilize before surgery.

Lattimore tore a ligament in his left knee and also suffered some cartilage damage when a player rolled on his leg as he blocked for Bruce Ellington.
