Car crash shuts down major downtown intersection

COLUMBIA (WACH) - A multiple car crash at Huger and Gervais Streets brought traffic to a halt Wednesday evening. 

Authorities say seven cars and a pedestrian were involved in the accident. According to officials, no one suffered severe injuries.

Police closed part of the intersection earlier Wednesday, but it is now back open.
