COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina group that promotes entrepreneurship is showcasing innovations in Columbia.

EngenuitySC's 8th annual IGNITE! event is happening Wednesday at the Zone at Williams Brice Stadium.

Some of the scheduled presenters include Edens & Avant CEO Terry Brown and Tony Ambler, dean of the College of Engineering and Computing at the University of South Carolina.

Top finalists in a contest to reward the most innovative ideas are presenting their ideas live to an audience, who will vote and select a winner. Wells Fargo will then present $5,000 to be divided by the top finalists so that they can put their ideas into action in the Midlands.

EngenuitySC is a public-private partnership that aims to encourage entrepreneurship.
